Court filing reveals Rehab reality TV show has been canceled

The truTV reality show “Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel” won’t be returning for a fourth season, attorneys have disclosed.

The disclosure was made last week in court papers by attorneys for the Las Vegas Hard Rock hotel-casino, which hosts Rehab day parties during the summer and was hit with a trademark lawsuit over the TV show in September by the owner of the international Hard Rock brand.

Hard Rock Cafe International charged in the September lawsuit that the TV show about the Las Vegas parties was tarnishing the Hard Rock brand by portraying “drunken debauchery, acts of vandalism, sexual harassment, violence and criminality.”

The Las Vegas hotel-casino, controlled by Swiss financial giant Credit Suisse Group AG and minority investor Morgans Hotel Group of New York, initially responded to the lawsuit by filing a counterclaim saying the lawsuit was motivated by an underlying business dispute with Hard Rock International.

Marquee Nightclub & “Dayclub”

What do we know about Marquee’s pool? Unfinished? Yes.

Each cabana has a private infinity pool surrounding one large community pool. Pictures weren’t allowed but Chuckmonster snuck in and took them when nobody was looking. Keep in mind that the space has not been furnished yet.

On the opposite end of the pool are the ten bungalows we’ve been hearing rumblings about. Contrary to earlier beliefs, these are not the same villa-level type accommodations that Wynn and Bellagio place their big whales in, but rather, are designed for people interested in being part of Marquee’s atmosphere from the moment they check in. The 1,695 square foot lofts are on three stories with their own cabana on the ground level, living quarters on the second, and an additional 750 square foot terrace with private pool on the third. Room rates have yet to be announced, but it should go without saying that even at half the size, their appeal will probably have them out pricing the top floor penthouses.

The weather is heating up and Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower is hosting sizzling “Body and Soul” pool parties at Level 8 Pool for those hot summer days and nights. Partiers can dance to the world beat of Rhythmic Soul, a unique three-piece group featuring a DJ accompanied by live percussion and horn. Rhythmic Soul will perform on the pool deck Thursday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. all summer long.

Lock ‘em up! A proposal for pool parties!

Purse duty: You know it. You hate it. But somebody’s gotta do it. Even if you’re a dude who doesn’t carry a man bag, if there are familiar females nearby, you’re gonna get stuck watching their stuff at some point.

Some newer nightclubs in Vegas have implemented convenient drawers or flip-top storage compartments built into banquette seating to stash a bag or sport coat in case sticky fingers wander by. However, those features are generally reserved for the bottle service crowd at VIP tables, and having your phone and wallet in a pocket or purse in the club isn’t that big of a deal.

It’s when pool party season arrives that problems arise.

As Mike Tyson once told me when I had my purse stolen at the former Seamless afterhours, “You can’t trust nobody. You gotta watch your stuff. You can’t trust nobody… Does anyone have a cigarette?”

The same kinda goes for pool parties.

Memorial Day Blowout – 2010

DJ Pauly D was stalking me. Or perhaps he thought I was stalking him. Either way, at many of the places I went, there he was—drinkin’, dancin’ and making out with an overly tanned brunette in a spandex skirt (not the same brunette each time, mind you). In my mind, Pauly D of MTV’s Jersey Shore became the poster boy for Memorial Day Weekend 2010: an out-of-town partier with, let’s say, a “quirky” style sense, having the time of his life.

I was jealous. Not necessarily of him (or his hair-product tab), but of that carefree party spirit.

Kim Kardashian laying poolside in Miami? How perfect does that sound rightttt now? Usually I prefer Winter over Summer, but I have a feeling this Summer is going to be super fun. Seeing these pics made me realize a lot goes into looking this cute while simply laying out, which then caused me to create a mental list of everything that went into her looking so fab. Kim looks like she just threw on a bikini and decided to layout, however any glam girl knows that’s definitely not the case.

Nikki Beach arrives in Vegas: A first peek

With the uncorking of a bottle of Dom, the partnership between Nikki Beach and the Tropicana was made official just after 11 a.m. today.

The famous lifestyle entertainment group of Nikki Beach now is set to make its newest home in Las Vegas, adding to an empire that includes the original location in Miami (which first opened in 1997) and more than 20 other locales around the globe such as St. Tropez, Cabo San Lucas, Greece and Cannes.

Nikki Beach at the Tropicana will include the Beach Club, utilizing part of the four-acre, recently renovated pool area, as well as an additional expansion with a nightclub and restaurant.

Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown, Ray J, Timbaland, Eva Pigford at Hard Rock Hotel Pool

On Sunday at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, celebrities partied all over the property. Over at REHAB, Jamie Foxx performed multiple songs to the booming crowd and then decided to play bartender, serving a few bottles of champagne to people around him. He capped off the day by spraying his cheering fans with champagne.  Still going from the night before at Vanity, Ray J joined Foxx’s stage table and the two partied together for awhile.
